Why They Joined: ” I joined Hy News at first because my mom wanted me to try out writing in a different way. My grandfather was also a well known photo journalist for the “Rockford Register” Star, and even had a photo spread in “Life Magazine.” Over a short period of time I started to really enjoy the challenge of a different writing style, and I’ve made many bonds through this club that I wouldn’t have otherwise.”
